I don't wanna fall in love. (No, no). Love is just like a knife. You make the knife feel good.

Well this classic Jane Child one-hit wonder was recently redone by the Pussycat Dolls -- but their version sucks. Jane Child's is still the best. Notice her crazy out-there 90s hairstyle.

Let your backbone slide.

Plaid pyjama pants as pants.

Listen all y'all it's a sabotage...

More grrrl rock.

popular by nada surf.

freeway by salmonblaster.

Don't lie about your age, defy it!

Uncle Jesse.

Broken necklaces.

Crimped hair.

Baby doll dresses.

Chokers.

Aniston's mid-90s layered cut with highlights.

(Bleached) short hair. Thin brows. Dark lipstick. à la Drew.

Garth's "foxy" dance.

Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles & Vanilla Ice...collaborate...& listen.

Slap bracelets.

...and yes this is exactly it. The truth is that someone started a rumor that slap bracelets can 'kill' because they can slit your wrists and that was the end of slap bracelets!

90210. The epitome of the 90s.

Emilio from Dangerous Minds.

Our teenaged sweetheart in Dangerous Minds (Wade Dominguez) happens to have passed away in '98 and I didn't even know. The ironic part of the tragedy is that in the movie he dies, but we were comforted by the fact that it was just a film.

One word. Jordan Catalano.

Cherry. Knee-high. Docs.

Need I say more? Cherry Doc Martens are what caused the iconic marriage between hip hop and grunge in 1992. You could step in anything with them. Acid, even.

Topped off with ripped jeans. Flannel plaid. White wifebeater. Long hair.

Jamie Walters steals Donna's heart in 90210.

This is the moment we all fell in love with broody, strong/silent, scruffy "Ray", played by Jamie Walters a la one-hit-wonder "Hold On" circa 1994 (or 1995).

Grrrl bands are gonna make a comeback. I can feel it.

L.A. Gear. Be still my heart.

I had this exact pair. In 1990. L.A. Gear will forever be my favorite pair of sneaks. Every cool girl in 4th grade had a pair.

....sigh!
